With the film being released on the 1st of May, Marvel have given us their last marketing push, with the final trailer for ‘Thunderbolts*’.

Unlike a lot of Marvel’s recent releases, where the marketing revolved around cameos and flashy action, this promises a more grounded, emotional story, revolving around non-superpowered heroes. This framing of the team, being limited in their abilities, works to present the daunting size of the task, as the trailer gives us the most extensive look we’ve had yet of the villain, Lewis Pullman in the role of Sentry/ The Void.
My prediction for the film is that Sentry is the standout character. such an intriguing presence in the comics, heavily connected to The Avengers. The introduction of him into the MCU has been long-awaited by fans and now he is finally here I’m very confident in his presence persisting beyond ‘Thunderbolts*’. The only real question is how a team consisting of: The Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, John Walker, Yelena Belova, Ghost and Taskmaster can take down the god-tier powered Sentry.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to find out, with the film being released on the 1st of May.
